Dastan-E-Dirty Poster

2012–2013

(Stories of B Grade Posters)

filmProducer and Creator

The film explores how everyday people living in Delhi perceive B-grade cinema posters — those lurid, hand-painted, sexually suggestive posters that were ubiquitous across Indian cities — and examines how viewers assign or deny artistic value to them based on their own subjective morality. It is essentially a documentary about taste, censorship, the gaze, and what 'art' means when filtered through social and moral norms.
