Eidiyaan is a story of a mother and daughter waiting for their disappeared son on the day of Eid. Set in Kashmir, a politically contested region between India and Pakistan, the story addresses custodial arrest and the state's assertion over everyday life. The film has been screened at more than 40 forums across the world and won best film in four film festivals. Three national newspapers reviewed it as a pivotal short film describing the impact of Kashmir's militarization on people's lives.
