Women in the Shadows of Climate Change is a digital tool that visualizes the disproportionate impact of climate change on female farmers in India, making visible a population that sits at the intersection of agricultural precarity and gender inequality. The project translates field data into an accessible narrative tool designed not for general audiences, but for a specific decision-making audience — local and state female leaders and administrators — with the explicit goal of improving disaster preparedness policy. It was exhibited at the Radcliffe Institute, Harvard University, as part of the Water Stories exhibition, situating it within a broader academic and advocacy conversation about gender, environment, and data-driven storytelling.
